Baby It's Cold Outside

Merry Christmas. I made two yo-yo scarves out of a cake layer. The cake layer I used was "Nest" by Tula Pink. The first scarf I am wearing is the dark side of the spectrum. I kept this one and sent the other one as a present to my friend Jamie in Missouri. She got the one I am wearing in the next picture which is the lighter side of the spectrum. Each scarf took twenty yo-yos, and I used the Clover JUMBO yo-yo maker. Hopefully you know someone that needs a new scarf?

See the lighter colors in this scarf? Each scarf took one day to make, so if you still need a last minute gift. Why not try to make one of these fun scarves? Happy New Year, too.

Kat,
A cake layer is like a charm pack. It is a run of precut fabric by the same designer. The cake layer is well worth your time when making yo-yo scarves and projects.

Thanks to all of my friends for posting. Love yah!

Thank you for some great inspiration! I found your blog while searching for yoyo crafts. I am planning to try my hand at this fun craft and have posted a link to your blog as credit for my inspiration:)

Do you have any great places to buy cake layers over the internet?
